Floored in Covid

Floored in Covid

When the pandemic struck, we were in our bathroom. With our teaching workshop canceled, we made holograms at home--and did not stop.

This ongoing series emerged from the constraints of lockdown, transforming domestic space into a site of continued investigation. The bathroom floor became both subject and studio, revealing how enforced limitation can generate new approaches to familiar materials and methods.

The work examines how context—in this case, a global pandemic and physical confinement—reshapes our relationship to objects and spaces we encounter daily, making visible the extraordinary within the mundane through holographic representation.
